These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Craftloop, a sole proprietorship located at 8608 Holly Ln, Urbandale, IA 50322, USA (“we,” “us,” or “Craftloop”), governing your use of the VolunTails website at voluntails.com, the application at app.voluntails.com, and our API at api.voluntails.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. The Service is intended for use by animal-shelter administrators, staff, and volunteers within the United States. If you create an organization within the Service, you are responsible for the conduct of every user you invite into that organization.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@voluntails.com immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms.
You agree not to:
Organizations that use VolunTails will input personal data about their volunteers (names, contact details, shift assignments, training records, etc.). You confirm that you have the authority and lawful basis to upload that data, and that you will obtain whatever consents are required by your local laws. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
If you opt in to SMS during signup, you agree to receive transactional messages from VolunTails at the number you provide, including shift reminders, urgent shift alerts, and verification codes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of optional messaging or HELP for help. You can also disable SMS notifications in your account settings. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Starter and Pro). Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and is not pro-rated. We may change pricing on at least 30 days’ notice. Payment is processed by Stripe; you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for all amounts due. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@voluntails.com within 30 days and we will review the request in good faith.
We own the Service, including its software, design, and content (other than data you input). You retain ownership of the content and data you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process that content as needed to provide the Service. You may export your data at any time using the export tools in the application.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or any account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. After termination, we will delete your personal data on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy, except for records we are required to retain.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, including claims by your volunteers about how their data was handled by your organization.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
